OUR HISTORY

Most of our park was built between 1986 and 1990. The owner of the property was a well-known real estate developer in NH. When he declared bankruptcy in October 1990, he left residents of our  mobile home park in a difficult situation: their rent would most likely increase to a unmanageable level when a new owner took over. People would have to either move out or try to purchase the park for themselves. A U.S. Bankruptcy court stepped in and placed protections over all such homeowners affected by his financial collapse. That allowed us to eventually organize and put together an offer to purchase the park. In 1993, a deal was settled on and Fieldstone Village became a community-owned and community-governed mobile home park.
